"Scottsdale" has a long and difficult history in the City of Carson and in the Los Angeles County. It is a part of the urban lore were ghosts of its violent past still haunt today. There were many attempts to improve situation there in the last fifty years, yet nothing was able to continue long enough to make lasting impact. The Love My Neighbor project proved to be the most effective grass roots program to date. The pandemic crisis greatly impacted "Scottsdale" and exacerbated the painful problems of this long marginalized neighborhood.
In this short conversations "Scottsdale" resident of forty years and its tenacious activist Sadie Dix along with on site property manager Mike Yadrick share their thoughts on the unique "Scottsdale" character and on the importance of our program for "Scottsdale" particularly as the community trying to recover from the crisis.
